Zenna
Henderson
1917-1983
Zenna Chlarson Henderson
was born on November 1, 1917 in the Tucson, Arizona area. She graduated
from Arizona State in 1940 with a Bachelors degree in education and worked
as a teacher in Arizona throughout her life. She died on May 11, 1983, at
the age of 65, in Tucson.
I
don't know when or how I ended up with a copy of "Pilgrimage," it may have
belonged to one of my older sisters - an English assignment, perhaps - you'd
be surprised how many times I read the books that were required reading
for my older siblings. Anyways, I was completely enchanted.
Dated, a tad, sure, but her insight into human character and motivation
is masterful. I've always wished "The People" were real.
